My favorite days of the year, living in the south, are usually any day between October first and mid December. The humidity disappears and the temperatures slowly cool again, and the leaves sometimes are little brighter than brown (if you know where to look).
But after those days, my favorite days are the unseasonable ones. The 75 degree day in January (they are more rare then you think in North Carolina) or the 68 degree day in July - even more rare, and so appreciated.
